Operations Centre Operator As an Operations Centre Operator at TasWater your shifts will involve monitoring our control and data system (known as SCADA) to ensure our critical infrastructure in wastewater and water treatment plants, pump stations and networks is functioning correctly, reacting to alarms and rectifying issues remotely or dispatching front-line operational teams to critical outages and reactive work situations.
You will also monitor the safety of our front-line staff during night shift, while they respond to critical incidents, emergencies or call out situations.
Your role will be critical in ensuring our teams continuous delivery our essential services, keep our crews safe and provide high level service to the Tasmanian community.

Pay and Position Details This position attracts an hourly rate of $39.88 an hour, upon commencement and until successful completion of probation.
After which, the hourly rate increases to $42.10.
Participation in the shift roster will also attract addition allowances.
This is a permanent (ongoing) position and is based in our Operations Centre within the Devonport office.
