Founded in Alice Springs in 1974, with 50 years of experience, a fleet of 43 aircraft, employing approximately 100 full-time staff across three bases in the Northern Territory, we offer terrific career development opportunities for professional individuals. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Base Supervisor will oversee the day to day operation of Alice Springs base. In this role you will be challenged to provide solutions for our customers in a high paced environment. This work will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.
Location: Alice Springs
Roster: Monday to Friday & Weekend on call work once every 5 weeks.
Responsible for: Anticipates and proactively acts to deal with future events, situations and opportunitiesEnsure all work is conducted in compliance with company and regulatory policies and proceduresCoordinate disruptions with Operations personnel. Formulates and actions disrupt plan.Monitor flights for On-Time Performance, reporting any delay reasons.Brief Flight Crew on all aspects of flightsProactively understand the operational needs of the business and takes the initiative to ensure those needs are met or exceededUpdate our online flight management system as required, including planning aircraft and crewOversee the day to day running of the base assets, Office, Cars and Company HouseTo be successful the following is required: General aviation or logistics experience preferredEfficient and reliable, with excellent time management skillsPossess a sense of initiative (can work without constant supervision) but also be a team player with a helpful, courteous attitude and outstanding attention to detailFlexible and available to do shift work – including early starts and late finishesWilling to undergo a medical check and drug & alcohol testingPrepared to undergo Federal Police security background checks to satisfy the requirement to be issued an Aviation Security Identity CardPrepared to attend Dangerous Goods trainingWhat we offer: Fantastic team environment and inclusive work cultureSalary Packing Available – Rent & Novated leases etc.Relocation cost to suitable applicantAll applicants must be Australian Citizens and/or hold full working rights in Australia and be able to hold an ASIC.
