We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Electrical Technician to join us in our Energy Solutions team in Newman Western Australia on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be supporting the team in developing and sustaining a continuous improvement and innovative culture that seeks to deliver efficiency improvements, improved production levels, reliability gains and improved cost structures.
Key Responsibilities Operating and maintaining gas turbine generators, Frame 6B and Trent 60 engines.
Operating and maintaining gas reciprocating engines, Jenbacher J624 x 14.
Operate and maintain a 35MW Battery Storage System.
Operating and maintaining all supporting auxiliary equipment for above.
Monitoring and adjusting electrical network parameters to maintain optimal operation.
Troubleshooting problems.
Ensuring a neat and orderly work area following safety standards.
Your background Working knowledge of power generation, generating equipment and control systems.
Holder of an A class electrical licence and have experience in the power generation field.
Proficiency in monitoring and adjusting the process to maintain optimal operation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work independently or in a team About the Team The Newman team consists mostly of a FIFO work force, who work on a 2 week on / 2 week off roster.
Based mostly out of Perth, our team operate and maintain our Pilbara assets which include solar and gas power generation, battery storage, and electricity transmission infrastructure.
