Analysis & Reporting (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time Get to know the Role
An opportunity has become available at our Melbourne or Albury branch for an experienced Operations Analyst to join our highly motivated Network Operations Team .
Working closely with the National Operations Manager - Last Mile and National Operations Manager - Handling, you will be responsible for proactively driving business performance by delivering accurate and timely reporting, analysis and actionable insights, supporting forecasting and resource planning, identifying improvement opportunities, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes and escalating risks and key action items to the leadership team.
Our ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, has a natural curiosity to understand how things work and can work to deadlines with a high level of communication and attention to detail.
Duties Reporting, Analysis and Insights: Develop, create and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for internal and external customers ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Generate ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed. Analyse data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis. Operational Performance Improvement: Actively collaborate with operational staff to drive performance improvements and strategic outcomes. Provide ongoing management of reporting processes and ensure continuous enhancement of data quality. Lead efforts to streamline workflows, introduce best practices and implement change. Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with Operational and Commercial leaders across the business to produce monthly and weekly activity forecasts for operational resource planning. Provide guidance and support on resource planning activities to operational stakeholders to achieve targeted business objectives. Coordination and Escalation of Risks and Opportunities: Serve as a key point of contact between operational teams and senior leadership. Identify, triage, and escalate appropriate risks, opportunities, and action points to the senior leadership team. Monitor operational metrics and performance indicators to pinpoint critical areas needing attention. Propose and implement solutions to address identified issues and capitalize on opportunities. Skills and Experience Degree qualification in a field such as engineering, operational logistics, statistics or data analytics, OR significant industry experience. Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, especially Power BI. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Advanced Excel skills.
