About the Role The Central Procurement and Supply Chain department in Stafford QLD is seeking an Operations Administrative Assistant to join their highly professional and fast-paced team. The position reports to the Sourcing and Contracts Manager and involves managing all the indirect services and goods categories for ALS national operations across Australia. The successful applicant will be a team player, with the ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision. You will be a self-starter who can learn the business requirements from the ground up, and will actively seek to further your knowledge of purchasing in the scientific/industrial industry to better service the business. If you are a recent graduate or high school leaver with a drive for excellence, superior attention to detail and commitment please apply. The day to day The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties including the following: Manage organizational travel policies and provide support to employees for onboarding and travel queries. Manage the company vehicle fleet – coordinate between Fleet Management company and operations team for vehicle contract renewals, repairs and on road incidents. Manage the fuel card program. Manage company account and issuance of Procurement cards with various business (Amenities, hardware, and maintenance supplies) Manage company printer fleet – monitor expiry dates and raise orders for contract renewal in consultation with operations. The Essentials The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities: Good organization capabilities, to manage data on multiple operational categories and to identify and perform necessary tasks in a timely manner. Communication skills – correspond with stakeholders internal and external and ensure right information is send out in a timely manner. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Competent in using Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of basic email etiquette. Tertiary education/ diploma or higher Experience providing administrative assistance or similar roles.
