About your opportunity:
Permanent full-time
The position provides supervision to the operations of the Food Service Department, ensuring the highest standard of functional service delivery and the achievement of Townsville Hospital and Health Service Strategic Objectives.
Ensure that all food production is carried out in line with all food safety standards and in a timely manner.
Coordinate the delivery of meals within the Townsville Hospital including the delivery of meal to all units within the Townsville Health Service.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Proven supervision of a large multi-discipline food services department/commercial business operation, preferably within a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of the Food Act 2006 (Qld) and AS/NZS Food Standards demonstrated experience supervising a Food Safety Program.
Proven ability to supervise a large multi-disciplinary department (staff and teams) to ensure services are provided efficiently and effectively and in line with quality human resource practices, including equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour and demonstrated commitment to their implementation.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills (including written).
Strong information technology skills and demonstrated ability to learn new systems.

Generous remuneration package value up to $91,759 p.a.
comprising: Salary range of $2818.50 to $3082.60 p.f.
(OO4) 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Role Requirements:
Certificate in Food Safety Supervision.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
Probation period may apply.
