About the RoleWe are seeking an Operational Safety Administrator to join our team. This role is Brisbane based and reports to our National Safety Manager who is based in Perth.
As our Operational Safety Administrator, you will be assisting with the day-to-day administration of Watco's operations including rail safety and compliance related administration, vendor management and any administration to comply with customer requirements.
This entry-level role offers excellent training and support, providing a pathway towards a career in safety and compliance.
You Will Need the Ability to:Champion safety within the business and adhere to Watco's Policies and Procedures.Maintain confidential and up-to-date operational and safety records, including the IMS and risk registers.Prepare periodic statistical reports and submit regulatory reports as required.Assist in developing and producing procedures, and participate in incident investigations.Attend local Safety Committee meetings and Toolbox Talks.Support internal audits and assist with the management of Workers Compensation claims.Assist with safety compliance activities and audits.Ensure accreditation for rail operations, including management of Track Access Permits (TAPs).What You Will BringExperience in an administration and/or compliance related position.Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.Effective communication of instructions, safety rules, and regulations.Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Aptitude for identifying errors and discrepancies.Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) is desirable.What We Can OfferCentral office location in Brisbane CBD.Competitive salary and flexible work arrangements (hybrid working 60/40).Career development and growth opportunities.Novated Leasing.Employee Assistance Program for employees and family members.Corporate uniform and PPE provided.Be a part of a close-knit and supportive team.Our team are recognised, acknowledged, and rewarded for the amazing work they do.
