Job Description We are seeking a trusted advisor to support our business and risk committee in balancing risk, control, and assurance with our business strategy. The role involves advising and educating risk and process owners on implementing an Operational Risk Management Framework using modern ERM software. You will provide independent challenge to senior management on risk profiles and assessments, assist in promoting a risk-aware culture, and support risk-based decision-making. Additionally, you will review end-to-end business processes, gain insights into operations, and offer recommendations for improvement.
What You'll Do: Update and formalize the risk framework to support business growth. Coordinate risk reporting for key meetings and manage key risk indicators. Use and maintain the Shift Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) tool for risk documentation and reporting. Provide risk advice on new products and initiatives. Ensure risks are documented and managed in new projects. Support risk owners with risk & control self-assessments (RCSA) and update risk registers. Evaluate risk management practices and conduct process reviews. Escalate risks outside the business risk appetite and provide recommendations. Support and manage critical/high-risk incidents. Qualifications What you'll bring: 3-5 years of experience in operational risk assessment, advisory, and process audit/assurance. Proven ability to lead risk discussions and assist risk and control owners with Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA). Familiarity with incident management processes. Proficiency in data analysis for insights and validation of key indicators. Experience in using data for ongoing monitoring of control effectiveness. Experience in commercial lending or cyber risk is advantageous but not required.
