What role will you play?
In this role, you will partner with Commodities and Global Markets teams to ensure that Technology Risk is managed effectively, in line with Macquarie's Operational Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies.
You'll work collaboratively with the Technology team and senior business stakeholders to identify operational issues and control breakdowns and advise on proposed responses.
You will drive discussions around operational risk incident investigations to identify root causes, breakdowns in controls, and assess strategic solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
Additionally, you will conduct controls assurance reviews, risk workshops, technology risk-related training, and participate in any other ad hoc risk discussions as required.
You will also support ad hoc tactical and strategic risk initiatives to meet business and operational demands through thoughtful partnership.
Thinking outside the box, you will use data analytics and process mining tools to automate control testing.
Your proactive approach will help drive a strong risk culture and a clear understanding of the risk framework within the team.
What you offer
Previous experience with operational risk management, assurance experience, or data analytics is essential.
Experience in process automation, coding or analytics, in particular Alteryx/Power BI or SQL
Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders across global regions and ability to effectively challenge the business
Strong analytical and verbal and written communication skillsPractical understanding of the implementation of risk and control frameworks to manage non-financial risks in highly regulated contexts
