Operational Risk Advisor
Reporting into the Business Planning Superintendent, we have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Risk Advisor to lead the risk management and assurance process at Rosebery.
This role will ensure compliance with the MMG Risk Management Standard, Assurance Framework, and Risk Management Procedure, in order to achieve site operational risk and assurance objectives through collaboration with Risk Owners and Control Owners.
Responsibilities include (however not limited) :
Lead the implementation and improvement of the MMG Risk Management System at Rosebery with all areas of Rosebery, in order to reduce risk uncertainty and site objectives. Site Risk Champion for annual material risk processes including facilitating, compiling, and improving on risk register, bow-ties, critical control designs, critical control execution, and verification tasks. Preparation and management of plans for site Operational Risk improvement projects. Lead the implementation of the MMG assurance framework to all areas of Rosebery, in order to meet corporate standards and closing of gaps. Single point of contact for coordinating scheduled audits and insurance visits and reporting. Follow up on the findings reported by internal audit and insurance visits, in order to achieve the closure of the same on the proposed dates. Lead risk workshops through meetings with the interested areas, in order to achieve identification and risk assessment of the project, area, or company. Prepare risk, assurance, and insurance reports in order to communicate the status of the annual process. Maintaining risk information into SAP GRC and MMG Library. On request facilitate risk assessments including coordinating Rosebery Management of Change processes. Comply with Rosebery internal procedures, policies, and standards for the fulfillment of the functions and responsibilities of the role. This role is offered on a 5 : 2 / 4 : 3 roster and can be based in Rosebery or our Burnie office on the picturesque West Coast of Tasmania.
Relocation support provided for those wishing to relocate to Tasmania.
Competencies, qualifications and skills :
Risk, Audit, Engineering or related discipline. Operational Risk Management background within a mining environment (desirable). Experience with Bow-Ties, Critical Operational Control Designs, Execution, and Verification tasks. Internal control and auditing (desirable). Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Experience with SAP (desirable). Commitment to safe operating practices, demonstrated duty of care and environmental compliance. What we offer :
