Role Summary
Operational Resilience is a key area of focus across Northern Trust. Building on the work being done globally, we are creating a new role to oversee the implementation of operational resilience requirements across all Australian Asset Servicing legal entities.
Reporting to the Asset Servicing APAC Entity Head of Controls, the
Operational Resiliency Specialist
will work with senior executives to ensure that we implement and maintain standards and that Australian regulatory requirements are met.
What you will do
Oversee the coordination and governance of Northern Trust's Operational Resilience programs.
Member of the Melbourne Operational Resilience and Outsourcing Committee (MOROC).
Coordinate the identification/assessment of Business Services by legal entity.
Ensure Business Continuity Programs are assessed against applicable local and global regulatory obligations.
Facilitate the approval of Important Business Services (IBS) and impact tolerances.
Prepare and support governance facilitation for senior management.
Maintain self-assessment documentation for each legal entity.
Engage with IBS owners to promote consistent resiliency risk appetite.
Participate in lessons learned from events that may require reassessment of resilience.
Support client engagement and due diligence requests.
About You
Good understanding of risk management practices in Financial Services.
Understanding of local regulators (e.g: ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC).
Understanding of business continuity.
Proven stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and oral presentation abilities.
Knowledge of operational resiliency concepts.
Analytical skills to identify and escalate issues.
Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
Knowledge of Microsoft Visio / Business Process Notation (highly desirable).
