The Operational Services at Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for an Operational Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your opportunity This is a multi-skilled position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support services for a patient-centered healthcare environment, including cleaning, linen services, food services assistance, removal of waste, and transportation of patients, equipment, and materials around the hospital. This position will require the ability to achieve the required quality and safety standards set within the department initiative and sound judgment, exercise a degree of autonomy, and provide support for the supervisor of operational services.
About the Team The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities: The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine. The hospital is a 33-bed acute hospital that offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of Community Health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000 km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine, and Sarina.
