About the Role Due to exciting growth, IRT are seeking an Operational Improvement and Support Manager to be based onsite at our IRT Catering facility in Unanderra, Wollongong. The Operational Improvement and Support Manager will be responsible for implementing, managing and overseeing strategic projects related to operational excellence and improvements. Reporting to the General Manager - IRT Catering, the role will evaluate current processes and ways of working and implement / optimise and streamline processes, procedures and workflows of the high volume catering business unit. Other responsibilities will include:
Build, lead and supervise an effective team of specialist service and support staff with a focus on promoting a positive team culture Work side by side to assist the Production Team with operational excellence improvements Utilises improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM to facilitate operational excellence Highly skilled at complex problem solving using root cause analysis and other problem solving methodologies Uses project management skills to scope, plan, manage and monitors projects through to completion Identify, analyse and review processes, procedures and workflows Develop and implement streamlining and optimisation initiatives to enhance quality, operational efficiency and/or productivity Implement Real-time operational analysis, standards development, and delivery of industry best practice Report on time, cost, waste management & sustainability initiatives across the company Provide support to the General Manager – IRT Catering as required. To Be Successful You Will Have Bachelors Degree in either management, quality, continuous improvement, or relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience Minimum 5 years' experience in a production facility environment in a management capacity Experience in Quality Management Systems Strong capability in change management Highly developed understand on WHS principles and contemporary approaches to safety Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of supervisors and managers Experience leading customer service, facilities management, cleaning, maintenance, customer service and or operations Experience with Total Asset Management, asset lifecycle planning and replacement Desirable experience within a large scales food manufacturing, FMCG environment, HACCP and other food safety standards Benefits for YouCompetitive pay and more cash in your pocket (less tax) with not-for-profit salary packagingFlexible working conditionsBirthday leave - relax and take a day off on us!Professional and career development opportunitiesMultiple career pathwaysDiscounted gym membershipsFree counselling via Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and staff wellness programHow to ApplyIf you feel this is the right role for you, we'd love to hear from you!
