Land Surveys is seeking Open Pit Mine Surveyors to join our dynamic team in Western Australia.

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Mine Surveyor with experience in open pit mining to support our operations.
Reporting to the Mining Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate survey data and technical support to optimise mining activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct precise and timely surveying of open pit mining areas, waste and ore stockpiles, pit wall monitoring, and any heritage/clearing areas.
EOM reporting on Pit and stockpile volumes Generate regular plans to support mine planning and operational decision-making.
Collaborate closely with mining engineers, geologists, and operational teams to provide essential survey support.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during surveying activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising survey processes and data accuracy.
About You:      WA Authorised Mine Surveyor (Grade 1 or 2) or the ability to work towards Preferred.
2+ years mine surveying experience desirable and sound understanding of survey principles.
(Entry level qualified surveyors are also encouraged to apply) Positive health and safety attitude Competent with presenting and communicating information in a clear and timely manner.
Computer literate, with a good attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of work.
Solid analytical and problem-solving ability.
Excellent time management and prioritisation of stakeholder requirements.
Self-motivated and proactive to achieve individual, team and business goals.
Key Requirements: Diploma/Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field.
Experience in mine surveying using mining specific CAD software such as Deswik, Vulcan or Surpac Highly desirable CASA approved RePL and UAV experience, but can be provided Proficiency in using surveying RTK GPS, Total Stations.
Drone and Scanner use would be an advantage Strong understanding of what is required of survey in the production mining scenario; including and not limited to drilling setout/pickup, asbuilt checks, clearing pegging, volume calculations, Machine guidance file preparation, plan generation, mapping with UAV, scanning?Effectively communicate with site technical services and contractors to ensure smooth survey deliverables and minimal production downtime.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Work within the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 2020, the clients Mine Safety Plan and Land Surveys Golden Rules.
Ensure sound record keeping.
Accurate End of Month reporting as per clients' requirements.
Upkeep of digital or hard copy Mine Plans and emergency plans.
