Genesis Minerals are currently seeking an experienced currently seeking an Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join our Mining team.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will provide technical expertise for the mining activities of our Open Pit mining operations.
This is a permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster. The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth WA, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora.
The opportunity: Provide surveying services to the open pit mines. Perform all duties in accordance with survey practices and procedures. Assist in reviewing and updating survey practices and procedures. Maintain accurate, up to date mine survey records. Contribute to and assist with the preparation of month end reporting, calculations and associated reconciliations as required. Work in accordance with statutory regulations. What we will expect from you: Authorised Mine Surveyor (Grade 2) preferred; 2+ years' experience in surveying at open pit mining operations including experience in a contract mining environment; High level of personal organisational and communication skills; Proficiency with mine planning software (Deswik preferred) and Microsoft Office software; Proficiency with Leica total stations, Trimble GPS, DJI UAV's and Optech CMS. Relevant surveying qualifications; Authorised Mine Surveyor (Grade 2) preferred; 2+ years' experience in surveying at open pit mining operations including experience in a contract mining environment; High level of personal organisational and communication skills; Proficiency with mine planning software (Deswik preferred) and Microsoft Office software; Proficiency with Leica total stations, Trimble GPS, DJI UAV's and Optech CMS.
