Op Shop Retail Assistants

The opportunity We are seeking volunteers to assist with the running of the Community Caring Op Shop in Mornington. Come and join our team who love to have fun while making a difference in the lives of others. We need volunteers to cover shifts between Monday to Saturday.
Why volunteer with the Community Caring Op Shop? Our Op Shop runs as a social enterprise for Community Caring Inc to support a number of programs. These include our Mt Martha and Rosebud Back on Track food pantries and Community Hubs where we provide a meal and opportunity for people who feel isolated or are struggling to come together and connect in a safe and supportive environment. We also contribute to CCI's annual Christmas Hope Appeal and in 2023 CCI distributed 500 hampers via local schools to families doing it tough across the Mornington Peninsula.
Who do we need? We are seeking fun-loving, reliable, and committed people, either retired or looking to gain skills to re-enter the workforce. By joining us, you will get an opportunity to:
Provide customer service & sales assistance Sort and price donated items Create fun window and visual merchandising displays Assist with our online eBay store You do not need any prior experience as we will provide you with all the training and support you need.
