We are currently seeking OOSH Assistants to join the teams at our Kilaben Bay and Morisset .
These opportunities will be offered on a casual basis , working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs.
You must be available to work afternoon shifts at least twice a week.
As an OOSH Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Supervising children's play, ensuring their physical safety while promoting and guiding positive behaviour.
Assisting in developing and implementing programs that offer a diverse range of experiences to promote children's independence, social skills, learning, and development.
Desired Skills and Experience EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
A fun, professional, positive, and reliable demeanour.
The ability to collaborate as an active member of the St Nicholas OOSH team.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and your team.
A demonstrated understanding of:
The National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and the Laws and Regulations governing our industry.
Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting.
Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Working with Children Check verification number.
Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (Desirable).
Child protection qualification (Desirable).
