The role of Grower Relationship Officer is part of a dynamic growing team that actively promotes QSL's sugar pricing and marketing offering. This role has a strong client management focus, with ongoing responsibilities to build enduring, trusted relationships with cane growers in the Mackay and Plane Creek regions.
The Grower Relationship Officer will grow knowledge and confidence in QSL's products, provide account support and management, and identify opportunities where QSL can facilitate and support grower success to build the tonnes under management with QSL.
Success in the role sees QSL being regarded as a trusted marketing partner within the region.
Key Deliverables: Implementing engagement plans to deliver a level of local service and support that exceeds growers' expectations. Responsibility for the day-to-day account management with a strong focus on face-to-face engagement via farm visits and shed meetings. Being the first point of contact for grower queries, including use of the QSL Direct platform and QSL app. Driving local grower education and business development opportunities and coordinating training, information sessions, and shed meetings. Strong grower stakeholder management ensuring a solid understanding of QSL's products, services, and performance. Optimising opportunities to engage with all QSL's members. About You: You will demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment, be self-motivated, goal-focused, and possess good communication skills with a commitment to safe work practices.
Minimum Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications in agri-business, commerce, finance, economics, or equivalent practical experience. Previous sales or account management experience. Working knowledge or affinity with regional farming and/or agribusiness. Sugar industry or agricultural commodities experience is advantageous but not essential. Qualifications in delivering training or educational outcomes are well regarded. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and respond to questions from stakeholders. A full open QLD driver's licence is essential, along with flexibility to travel throughout the region to support growers.
