As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Onsite Supervisor to lead our Belt Splicing team and ensure the successful running of our contract, meeting KPI's and driving outcomes.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Onsite Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and installation of conveyor systems and fixed plant machinery.
This role is essential in managing on-site operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating team activities to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations and maintenance of conveyor systems and machinery.
Interpret and oversee splice diagrams, system drawings, and repair diagrams.
Coordinate and assist with belt cleaner/scraper installations and refurbishments.
Manage plough installations and ensure the proper alignment of structures, pulleys, belts, and motors.
Lead routine inspections and ensure quality assurance documentation is completed.
Troubleshoot and identify improvements for conveyor systems and equipment.
Communicate effectively with team members and report progress to management.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Provide training and support to technicians and other team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within conveyor maintenance or similar industries.
Strong mechanical and belt splicing knowledge and relevant trade experience.
Proven ability to lead teams in high-intensity labour roles, particularly in heavy industrial environments such as mining.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
Knowledge and understanding of hygiene management in a high lead environment.
Current Driver's License and high-risk work license, along with valid Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets.
Must pass pre-employment and random Drug & Alcohol screenings.
