Moonee Ponds Primary School is a learning community focussed on working collaboratively to ensure that our students thrive in their learning and wellbeing. Established in 1919 and located 7 kilometres for the Melbourne City Centre our school is situated alongside Moonee Ponds Creek. Our school is caring and inclusive with an engaged parent community who support our school and work in partnership with our staff.

The school is committed to improving teaching and learning through an embedded culture of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Our staff work together with collective responsibility for developing high-quality differentiated curriculum and instruction, responding effectively to assessment data and feedback with a focus on the learning and wellbeing needs of all students.
The school is currently organised by the following year levels: Foundation, Yr 1/2, Yr 3/4 and Yr 5/6. Our staffing profile consists of a Principal, Assistant Principal, a Learning Specialist, sixteen teachers, one Tutor, a Business Manager, an Administration Officer and four Integration Aides. Specialist areas for 2025 include the Arts (Visual and Performing), Physical Education, LOTE Italian and STEM.

Program Benefits
This position attracts an incentive payment of $5,650 (pre-tax) for the successful candidate who meets the eligibility criteria set out under conditions of employment.
Conditions of Employment
All staff employed by the Department and schools have access to a broad range of employment conditions and working arrangements.
The appointment of successful applicants will be made subject to satisfactory pre-employment conditions check.
A probationary period may apply during the first year of employment and induction and support programs provided.
Eligibility for incentive payments:
The successful candidate is committing to a minimum of 1 year employment at this school.
The successful candidate will not be a Graduate Teacher Incentive recipient from a previous vacancy.
The successful candidate must not be employed as a teacher by the Department at the time the advertised position is to commence.
