Service Technician - Based in Perth, Western AustraliaJob Summary An exciting opportunity awaits within the world's leading water technology company. Grundfos Pumps Australia are seeking the skills of a talented electrically qualified Service Technician to join our friendly, inclusive, and highly inspirational Service & Solutions team, based in our Perth office in Kewdale, servicing our customers in Western Australia.
The list of activities that the ideal candidate will undertake day to day include:
Assessment of risks of tasks prior to commencement of works.Report matters related to Safety, Health, and Environment.Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace parts, reassemble pumps, pump systems, and accessories both in the Workshop, and in-field.Commissioning and assessment of variable speed drives and motor interfacing and monitoring systems.Utilising App and tablet-based reporting technology to complete tasks, and create lead generation information to internal sales teams, which in turn promotes service growth.Advising customers about shortcomings in the total system, which can prevent future problems and offer a solution to these potential issues.Assist his / her manager by identifying and providing solutions for service and warranty matters.Signs off on electrical works undertaken or supervised.On complex issues, consult with our specialist in-house technical support staff.Prepare clear and complete service reports and ensure that these are submitted on time and as per the company requirements and format (such as warranty claims, working hours, sales lead generation, fault analysis reports).Register any identified product quality issues in the company systems.Assist in project execution - installation support, commissioning, contractor engagement and arrangement as required.Execute works on site in conjunction with the sales orders and service agreements as applicable.Provide feedback of relevant information to the respective stakeholders (sales, operations, customer service centre).Collect technical information from site for our equipment database.Continue learning and development to build up hands-on service capability and expertise.Master the use of specialised service tools and equipment.Work in conjunction with the Grundfos core values and take responsibility for own actions in addition to looking out for colleagues, partners, and customers.Be team focused and communicate openly on all matters.Travel to various parts of WA, and possibly other states on occasions may be required to undertake service related tasks, or training.As required, provide phone-based technical support for various parties in conjunction with our Customer Service & Technical Support Team.The ideal applicant will embody the following skills and experience attributes:
Experience with electrical / mechanical systems and / or pumps and rotational equipment.Ideally must be a fully qualified Electrician in WA, or be able to obtain mutual recognition if holding one from interstate. (Holders of a WA disconnect / reconnect licence will also be considered.)Must have a full Australian recognised drivers' licence.2 years of work experience in the industry or comparable environment.Experience with pump technology, controls and variable speed drives would be an advantage.Being accountable and reliable, prompt and punctual.Organised & results driven.Process & outcome focused.High level of communication skills.Experience using information platforms such as SAP, would be an advantage.Ability to work with processes or projects within the service environment.Hold the applicable First aid, LVR / CPR courses, or be prepared to undertake these once employment has commenced.Why Grundfos?
