We have a rare leadership opportunity to join our group finance team as a Financial Reporting Manager. You will lead the JB Hi-Fi financial accounting team for the JB Hi-Fi Australia and JB Hi-Fi New Zealand business along with driving process improvements. This role would suit a finance leader experienced in financial reporting across large-scale, publicly listed entities.
Ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of a suite of monthly reports to the executive, senior management and operational teams Providing insight and analysis of monthly results to the various business units Overseeing all financial accounting, month end processes and balance sheet reconciliations Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards Management of the external audit of the JB Hi-Fi businesses Ensuring compliance with monthly GST lodgements for the JB Hi-Fi businesses Effectively lead, train and develop a team of qualified accountants and finance professionals Work closely with the Group Reporting and Tax Manager to assist with the preparation of group consolidations, monthly Board reporting along with annual and half-yearly statutory financial statements for the Group Work collaboratively with the Group Finance Systems and Projects Manager to assist with finance system developments, improvements and implementations About you
Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance with CPA/CA certification 8+ years relevant professional experience, preferably within a retail or a similar environment, initial Big 4 or mid-tier experience is also preferred Experience in leading and developing high performing teams Proven financial accounting and reporting skills Experience in using a large-scale ERP system along with reporting tools such as Power BI or TM1 preferred Exceptional attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written To Apply
