The Architecture Chapter aims to build and maintain a strong, scalable technology framework that supports the company's goals. By using data effectively and ensuring high standards in our systems, we strive to improve customer experiences and support business decisions. The chapter works closely with business and technology teams to promote continuous improvement and collaboration, providing the necessary foundation for delivering value to customers.
What you'll be doing Lead the development and execution of architectural strategies and roadmaps that support the business and technology initiatives, focusing on simplicity, scalability, security, and innovation. Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to integrate business and technology strategy, influencing decisions and directions at the highest levels. Drive the design and implementation of a cohesive omnichannel architecture to support the subscription program and other key business services, such as data, marketing, customer service and rewards. Champion the development and integration of data products, facilitating enhanced decision-making, personalised customer experiences, and operational efficiencies. Ensure architectural initiatives are aligned with key performance indicators such as architecture fitness, cost efficiency, reusability, speed to market, and effective data utilisation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and forward-thinking, promoting best practices in architecture across all teams. Key duties and deliverables: Architecture Delivery: Ensuring robust and scalable architectural solutions support reliable and seamless member experiences, leading to subscriber growth. Data Utilisation: Effective use of data products provides insights for better personalisation and growth, directly impacting subscriber growth and incremental spend. Cost Efficiency: Efficient and reusable architectural solutions reduce operational and development costs, directly contributing to cost efficiency and budget adherence. Stakeholder Alignment: Strong collaboration and satisfaction among business and technology stakeholders ensure alignment with strategic goals, supporting overall business growth. What you'll bring to the table Proven experience in a senior architectural role within a technology-driven retail or similar cost-effective environment. Strong background in data architecture, with expertise in designing and implementing modern data solutions. Demonstrable experience working with technologies and solutions within the marketing, customer service, payment, and loyalty domains. Demonstrable ability to influence stakeholders and drive business strategy through technology. Extensive experience with omnichannel strategies and technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Nice to haves Appropriate tertiary qualifications ideally at post-graduate level.
