This role is essential for performing high-quality welding, fabrication, and repair works on various metal structures and products. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in interpreting blueprints and using a range of welding and cutting tools, along with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
To be considered for this role, applicants must: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Boilermaker.
Be proficient in welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
Provide supporting documents, such as trade certifications, work history, a valid passport, and police clearances.
Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Perform high-quality welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks on a variety of metals.
Use specialised tools and equipment for metalworking, including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding tools.
Inspect and test welds and structures to ensure they meet compliance standards and specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct routine maintenance and repair on metal structures and products.
Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentice boilermakers.
Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years' experience in the boilermaker trade.
Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship in metal fabrication or a related field.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks in various environments.
