We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team to assist in the overall operation of the kitchen, including ingredient preparation, cooking, maintaining food quality, and supporting the supervision of kitchen staff.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Cooking to orders by applying different techniquesPreparing and seasoning a range of ingredients for various dishesFollowing recipes and portion controls, and adjusting to customers' requirements where necessaryMonitoring cooking and refrigeration equipment temperaturesAssisting in planning new menus and developing special dishes under Head Chef's directionChecking the daily preparation list at the start of each shift to ensure ingredients and products are sufficient for serviceSupporting the Head Chef in managing storage, procurement, and stock rotation to maintain food quality and minimize waste.Assisting in cleaning and organisation of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areaEnsuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and food quality regulations and standardsAssisting in general kitchen operations and providing support during peak service times.Assisting the Head Chef in training kitchen staff and ensuring proper kitchen procedures are followed.Required Qualification and Experience
At least 2 years' experience as a ChefCert III or above in cookeryRequired Knowledge and Skills
Experience with Japanese cuisine is essentialProficiency in cutting and cooking techniques and principlesStrong abilities to work as a team member Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industryPossess effective communication skills


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
