The Opportunity
Located in Tottenham we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Safety Graduate looking to grow and develop further in the safety space.
This role is strongly supported by the Group HSE Manager.
What you'll be doing with us You will advise, assist and support SRS employees and elected Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) in relation to occupational health and safety matters including Psychological Health matters.Work together with the operations team to promote and embed a 'safety first' culture and drive continuous improvement of the safety management system.The OHSE Officer will work with the Group HSE Manager to maintain the ISO 45001 & 14001 certifications.You will be required to regularly review and update safety policies, procedures and work instructions as required.Ensure OHS&E legislation and compliance requirements are adhered to.Conduct regular internal inspections and audits with support from the Group HSE ManagerCoordinate emergency planning efforts and incident response management.Facilitate departmental safety meetings.Oversee the contractor management system.You will assist in the development, co-ordination and delivery of OHS related training.You will actively recruit and educate HSRs in the workplace.Key Selection Criteria You hold tertiary or vocational qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.You have an understanding of OHS, Environmental and workers compensation legislation, standards and practices.The ability to complete risk assessments, lead incident investigations and implement preventative strategies to minimise OHSE risks in the workplace.You have demonstrated the ability to build productive working relationships. You are a strong team member who brings a positive, 'Can Do' attitude and enthusiasm and a continuous improvement mindset.
