OHS Services Officer, South Eastern Victoria Region The Department of Education's Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Implementation Services Branch is seeking skilled and dedicated OHS professionals to deliver the Department's newly expanded OHS Services Program to schools across Victoria.
In this hands-on role, you will provide high-quality advice and deliver essential OHS and emergency management services to principals, school leaders and employees. Your key responsibilities will include:
Working collaboratively as part of a regionally based team to deliver consistent, hands-on OHS and emergency management services and support to schools, helping achieve safer school environments. Partnering with schools to complete OHS and emergency management planning tasks, offering expert guidance, including on the effective use of digital systems. Providing exceptional service delivery and building strong relationships with schools, regional offices, contracted external providers, and key members of the Division. Championing best practices and driving continuous improvement in OHS and emergency management processes. This role reports to the Manager, OHS Services, South Eastern Victorian Region (SEVR) and will receive guidance and mentoring from Senior OHS Service Officers. The role works closely with school principals and leaders and as such requires travel across the region to undertake school visits.
