Be involved in a diverse range of Metricon construction projects with a strong focus on OH&S. You will be responsible for facilitating site inspections and provide guidance based on your Safety First principle.
Come to work each day to be yourself and get paid for what you love to do being OH&S on our customer's dream homes based in the Metro Melbourne Areas Reporting to the WHS Manager, your responsibilities will include: Implement Work Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems (WHSMS) and assist with its compliance;Facilitate amendments and provide guidance to OH&S implementation process at site level; Complete reporting on WHS performance and provide WHS advice to the Site Managers, with consideration to due diligence obligations;Identify WHS training requirements for the VIC Business Unit site staff;Assist with assessment of subcontractor documentation/new contractor pack submissions;Facilitate workplace inspections and internal audits, while monitoring compliance to the incident reporting and investigation process; andContribute and adopt ideas and that improve the efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of the overall WHS function.

The successful candidate will have: Completed Diploma Occupational Health and Safety Completed and hold a White Card, trade or scaffold ticketCompleted qualifications in a First Aid CertificateResidential construction experience to train our trades and Site Managers on their sitesCurrently hold a valid driver's licenceExperience within a similar role within the construction industryExtensive knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Management Systems and relevant WHS Acts and Regulations, Compliance Codes and Codes of Practices, Australian Standards and Guidance Materials; andHigh computer proficiency in MS Office suite of products including report writing ability.
This role requires a national police check and medical check to be undertaken to the successful applicant.
