Offshore Maintenance Vessel Deckhand + Coxswains (NC1)Remote work living on our pontoon Offshore Maintenance Deckhand- Coxswain NC1 Minimum qualification of Coxswains NC1 required Quicksilver Connections Located offshore out of Port Douglas  Starting salary $29.67-$32.69 plus superannuation    About the role  Applications are being sought for an Offshore Maintenance Deckhand position on our pontoon maintenance vessel commuting out of Port Douglas.
This is a rotating roster of 4 days on 2 days off.
The role requires three nights away living on our offshore pontoon on The Great Barrier Reef.
Reporting to the Vessel Master and Marine Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include:    Daily preparation and ongoing maintenance of the offshore pontoon, maintenance vessel, small craft and offshore equipment Operation of small craft and semi-submersible coral viewers Providing a high level of customer service to our guests  Ensuring customer and staff safety is maintained at all times  Safely handling ropes, lines and fenders  Assisting other crew members as required About you Applicants require a minimum qualification of Coxswains NC1 Master 5 (desirable) Provide First Aid certification Competency in rope handling and docking of vessels  Ability to effectively communicate and work well in a small team environment A dive qualification would be an advantage Benefits Stability in a long-established business proud of their inclusive culture and working environment Discounted boat tours and cruises for your family and friends Discounted diving tours in Cairns and Port Douglas Corporate discounts on private health Access to the Quicksilver Group Scholarship program for your children going to University A wide range of special discounts with our industry partners and goods suppliers Meet people from all over the world coming to the Reef for their once in a lifetime to visit one of the greatest World Heritage sites.
