The Prelude FLNG facility is stationed northeast of Broome, Western Australia, in Australian Commonwealth waters.
The Prelude FLNG operation comprises sub-sea wells tied back to an FLNG facility encompassing gas processing and liquefaction through to LNG/LPG/Condensate storage and offloading, along with the requisite supporting marine and utilities facilities.
What's the role? You will be accountable for leading the offshore Prelude operation within the boundaries of the Safety Case, respective legislation and business plan.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient operation of the Prelude offshore facilities.Act as Incident Management Team Leader, maintaining emergency response capability.Oversee asset integrity, ensuring cumulative risk is understood and controls are in place.Champion and provide leadership of a high-performing generative offshore safety culture across both contract and own staff, delivering Goal Zero.Maintain organisational competency, capability, and succession planning for offshore operations.Lead, support, and coach to embed Shell's D&I aspirations, advocating for diversity and respect for a successful business.Deliver the agreed integrated activity plan.Manage Operations execution elements of Turnaround and Pitstop events.Foster a learner mindset culture to drive continuous improvement.What we need from you: In-depth knowledge of safety management systems, emergency response, operations, marine and aviation logistics, contracts and contractor management, industrial relations, project planning, and reporting.Experience in offshore gas/LNG production & processing, LNG/LPG storage and loading, FPSO operations, subsea wells and systems, steam and power generation systems, DCS instrumentation, and related systems.Highly effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, coach, and maintain a high-performing team and effectively lead change.Proactive and visible HSSE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety.Competence in managing major emergencies and delivering a culture of operational discipline.Ability to manage multiple and complex problems, integrating solutions with the wider organisation.Commitment to creating a respectful environment where people are heard, cared for, and equipped for success.Demonstrated resilience under challenging operational conditions.Proven track record in supporting and advancing the D&I agenda.The successful candidate should be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
