Duration: 9 months with a possibility to extend Key Responsibilities We are currently seeking an Offshore HSE Advisor in Australia for a period of 9+ months. This role will complement / supplement the Rig Contractor's rigsite safety program and assist in bridging the Rig Contractor's Safety Management System (SMS) and Operators SMS.
Maintain close and frequent communications with management, contractors, and subcontractors, guiding HSE programs in support of the company's safety performance and culture. Report all HSE related matters to the Drilling Manager and HSE Manager daily and monthly. Participate in daily morning meetings with the D&C personnel. Investigate and report all safety and environmental incidents. Review and follow up on all incident corrective actions. Assist the rig contractor with investigation guidance. Monitor and improve the safety performance of the rig crew. Oversee HSE standards of the rig facility and work environment to enable a safer workplace. Conduct safety and environmental audits ensuring rigsite personnel's understanding of Safety Case, Well Operations Management Plan (WOMP), and Rig Contractor's Safety Program. Requirements Visible commitment ensuring the highest standard of safety. 5+ years' experience in offshore drilling projects, preferably in Australia. In-depth knowledge of local and national health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure compliance in all operations. Proven experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating health, safety, and environmental risks within a variety of work environments. Proficient in HSE management systems, hazard and risk management, audits, incident investigation, change management, training, crisis and emergency protocols, and ISO Standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Excellent communication skills to convey complex HSE information in a clear and understandable manner, fostering open dialogue with stakeholders. Full-Time Australian Working Rights Required!
