About the Ngaanyatjarra Council
Welcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert. Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres. 
Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.

The Opportunity:
As the Thrive Case Officer you will be essential in promoting and managing positive tenancy practices across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. Your role involves engaging with residents to provide vital tenancy support and advice, overseeing property management in 12 communities, and ensuring adherence to Department of Communities standards. You will educate tenants on their rights and responsibilities, assist with rent-related issues, and collaborate with Housing Officers to meet tenant needs and compliance requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to process improvements within the Thrive Program, manage case monitoring and maintenance reporting, and foster a professional image of the program and the Ngaanyatjarra Council.

About You:
As the Thrive Case Officer you will play a crucial role in enhancing public housing conditions across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. This permanent, full-time position is based in either Blackstone or Warrukuna, WA. In this role, you will engage directly with residents to provide essential tenancy support and advice, oversee property management across 12 communities, and ensure compliance with Department of Communities standards. You will educate tenants on their rights and responsibilities, assist with rent-related issues, and collaborate closely with Housing Officers to address tenant needs and adhere to housing policies. Additionally, you will contribute to improving processes within the Thrive Program, manage case monitoring, and handle maintenance reporting.
