About the role Be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating an orientation schedule designed to help inform and empower newly arrived clients to become more independent in the community. Provide logistical support and rostering for workshops whilst coordinating all aspects of the HSP Orientation program.
The Orientation Officer works within the Community Connections team of the HSP to ensure that orientation resources are provided to clients in an effective and accessible way, taking into account the unique needs of adult learners from refugee and humanitarian entrant backgrounds.
What you will bring Train bilingual staff and volunteers in delivering the HSP Orientation Program to adult learners from diverse refugee and humanitarian entrant backgrounds.Train case managers, volunteers and bilingual casual support workers to assess clients' progress and achievements against orientation outcomes.Regularly provide feedback to Case Managers on issues raised by clients during orientation.Actively problem solve to overcome barriers to clients accessing orientation.Collaborate with colleagues from across the country on projects, develop new networks, insights and skills whilst generating shared impact on outcomes.This role has some requirement for after-hours and weekend work.A current drivers licence and Working With Children's Check is mandatory.Why work with us?
