Our local festivals such as the Gympie Music Muster are renowned both nationally and internationally.For someone seeking a high quality of life, with pristine natural areas and spectacular beaches, all within reach of Noosa, the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, we are offering this unique opportunity.Officer Building Maintenance - PainterRemuneration: Annual salary commencing at $74,336, plus up to 13% superannuationClosing Date: Sunday 24th November 2024 at 11.00pm AESTRole OverviewComplete building, renovation and maintenance work ensuring Council facilities are well maintained, safe and compliant with relevant legislation.Proven experience as a painterExcellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply themSolid knowledge of commercial and construction painting techniquesDemonstrated experience in scheduling and coordination of building/construction projectsDemonstrated understanding of work health and safetyDemonstrated ability to work unsupervised, yet also as part of an integrated teamDemonstrated ability to supervise subordinate staffQueensland Manual 'C' Class driver's licence or above that is current and maintainedConstruction Industry White/Blue cardTrade Qualification in building/construction industryCompletion of building, renovation and maintenance work as directed, ensuring Council facilities are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant legislation. Completion of all tasks in compliance with work health and safety policy and procedures resulting in minimal lost time injuries.
