Role Overview To provide accurate and efficient administrative support to the building section within the Community Sustainability Directorate, delivering high quality, professional customer service ensuring quality standards, processes and documentation satisfy customer and organisational requirements, including legislative record keeping requirements.
Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and project support in a development service-related environment, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent related experience. Well-developed customer service skills, whilst maintaining positive professional relationships with internal and external customers. Advanced data processing, word processing and editing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and organise workloads to meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and cooperatively in an integrated team environment by developing effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including an understanding of the role of confidentiality within an administrative environment. Queensland 'C' Class driver's licence that is current and maintained. Assist with the processing of lodgement of private certifier building applications for legislative record keeping requirements. Undertake accurate and timely receipting of Council payments for lodgement of private certifier building applications in accordance with policies and procedures. Deliver high-quality customer service by providing accurate and consistent advice to customers through a range of mediums including face to face, phone, and email. Provide effective and high-quality administration support for the building section including collation of files, document management, data entry, application entry, point of sale reconciliation, updating tracking workflows and registers, ensuring accurate record keeping for reporting purposes. Provide input and assistance in relation to the development and review of branch strategies, policies, procedures and the like, contributing to process improvement.
