We are seeking an experienced OFFICE MANAGER to work on a permanent part-time basis up to 8-16 hours a week with a view to potentially increasing the hours with the right candidate.Job Requirement:To provide a quality, professional and caring service to all patients and healthcare providers of the practice. To ensure that patient's needs in terms of immediate and ongoing care are met both before and after each consultation. To communicate effectively with patients, doctors, management, and other support staff to avoid potential problems and enhance the image of the clinic and its philosophy.Greeting and assisting patients, preparing accounts and/or Medicare billingHandling telephone inquiriesInform all patients of practice policy in terms of appointments and billing requirementsInitial contact point for patient problems and complaintsBest Practice ExperienceBalancing all moneys collected including EFTPOS each eveningEnsuring that the practice including all rooms, waiting area, treatment room, toilets, and filing area are kept neat and tidyLiaising with paramedical personnel including notifying of potential emergencies and assisting patients to treatment roomElectronic claiming and reconciliation of Medicare and DVA billingsControl and chase up of debtorsOpening and distribution of all mailAssist in the smooth operation of the front desk areaAssist and control the scheduling of appointments to ensure doctors' resources are not overtaxedAttendance at all staff meetings and scheduled education sessions organized by the clinicEnsure the facility is properly secured on leaving the premisesAt all times work as a team and assist every member of the practice where practicableOther duties of a general nature and as directed by the doctors and/or practice managerBe aware of cold chain management procedures and ensure compliance on weekends or in absence of nursing staffBe aware and contribute to accreditation compliance at all timesManagement of appointment book ensuring sufficient breaks for doctorsAdherence to infection control procedures and undertake ongoing education as requiredBenefits:Work in a supportive non-corporate environmentExcellent remunerationWork as part of a well-supported team of experienced doctors, nurses, and admin staffFlexible working arrangementOnly short-listed candidates will be contacted.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentPay: From $26.00 per hourExpected hours: 8 – 16 per weekWork Location: In person
