We are seeking an experienced OFFICE MANAGER to work on a permanent part-time basis up to 8-16 hours a week with a view to potentially increasing the hours with the right candidate.
Job Requirement: To provide a quality, professional and caring service to all patients and healthcare providers of the practice. To ensure that patient's needs in terms of immediate and ongoing care are met both before and after each consultation. To communicate effectively with patients, doctors, management, and other support staff to avoid potential problems and enhance the image of the clinic and its philosophy.
Greeting and assisting patients, preparing accounts and/or Medicare billing Handling telephone inquiries Inform all patients of practice policy in terms of appointments and billing requirements Initial contact point for patient problems and complaints Best Practice Experience Balancing all moneys collected including EFTPOS each evening Ensuring that the practice including all rooms, waiting area, treatment room, toilets, and filing area are kept neat and tidy Liaising with paramedical personnel including notifying of potential emergencies and assisting patients to treatment room Electronic claiming and reconciliation of Medicare and DVA billings Control and chase up of debtors Opening and distribution of all mail Assist in the smooth operation of the front desk area Assist and control the scheduling of appointments to ensure doctors' resources are not overtaxed Attendance at all staff meetings and scheduled education sessions organized by the clinic Ensure the facility is properly secured on leaving the premises At all times work as a team and assist every member of the practice where practicable Other duties of a general nature and as directed by the doctors and/or practice manager Be aware of cold chain management procedures and ensure compliance on weekends or in absence of nursing staff Be aware and contribute to accreditation compliance at all times Management of appointment book ensuring sufficient breaks for doctors Adherence to infection control procedures and undertake ongoing education as required Benefits: Work in a supportive non-corporate environment Excellent remuneration Work as part of a well-supported team of experienced doctors, nurses, and admin staff Flexible working arrangement Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
