We now have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Office Manager to join our Energy Solutions team in Perth CBD office on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the General Manager, Energy Solutions West, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our modern workplace.
Overlooking the river, this vibrant office houses around 300 employees across Operations, Project Delivery, Technology, Energy Solutions, and Corporate support functions.
As the most senior administrative position, you'll manage/supervise office resources, oversee reception, coordinate courier services, and deliver exceptional support to leaders and staff.
This role is key to fostering a positive workplace vibe while ensuring everything runs safely and seamlessly.
Typical hours: 8:00-8:30am to 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities Manage and provide guidance to the Receptionist, including stepping in for reception relief as required, to ensure smooth front-office operations Oversee administrative systems, including mail, meeting room management, equipment maintenance, and filing systems, ensuring policy and procedural compliance Manage procurement of office supplies, cost control, and budget allocations, ensuring compliance with APA procurement procedures Organise and coordinate office events, client events, and communications, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution Coordinate building management activities, including inspections, safety drills, fire warden training, and repairs, while overseeing office security systems in collaboration with building management Identify and implement process improvements for efficient administrative support, including maintaining administrative databases, managing seating plans, and updating work instructions Your background Office management experience, ideally combined with broad administrative roles, front desk reception duties, and demonstrated people management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm, professional attitude and a strong focus on customer service Proven capability to organise, prioritise workloads, and manage competing demands under pressure, meeting strict deadlines Advanced Microsoft Office skills, proficiency with office equipment, and understanding of procurement processes and basic accounting procedures Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgement, and proactive problem-solving in varied and high-pressure contexts St John's First Aid and Fire Warden certifications (preferred); thrives in a collaborative team environment while working autonomously when required Working at APA At APA we're committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
