Details: There are positions available in the following Minister's Offices:
Chief Minister and potential opportunities in other offices Key responsibilities of the role include:
Providing the first point of contact for the office by phone and email – including triaging and directing incoming correspondence to the Minister's public-facing inbox for further action by directorates and advisers Office administration including diary and schedule management Constituent and community engagement and support Contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment and culture where all staff are valued and respected Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Excellent communication and relationship skills Administrative and organisational skills Capacity to work independently and as part of a small team, and manage competing priorities Experience or understanding of parliamentary systems, and/or the ACT political system is highly desirable.
Please note prior to commencement successful candidates may be required to undergo a pre-employment Police check.
Note: The role is for the term of the current government and is an Adviser Level 1 position with a salary of $77,499 – $96,724 plus 7% allowance and superannuation. The successful candidate will be engaged under a Legislative Assembly Members' Staff contract, and other terms and conditions of employment are governed by the ACT Legislative Assembly Members' Staff Enterprise Agreement 2023 - 2026. It is not an ACT Public Service position.
