Salary $67,589 - $72,033 ASO3 (Pro Rata) | 0.9 FTE – 6-month contract with the possibility for extension.
Thrive in Healthcare Excellence: Office Manager, Audiology and Speech Pathology!
As the Office Manager, you'll oversee the efficient administration of the Audiology and Speech Pathology departments, coordinating clinical services, overseeing the Cochlear Implant program, generating reports, and supervising clerical staff. With a high level of discretion and autonomy, you'll contribute expertise to resolve day-to-day issues, exercising sound judgment and organizational skills.
This pivotal role requires excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and staff, including those with hearing loss or communication difficulties, while handling confidential matters with tact and discretion.
About the role:
Working as the Office Manager, some of your duties may involve:
Ensuring the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Speech Pathology and Audiology Departments and strategic plans.
Dealing with or delegating the administrative tasks which affect the smooth functioning of each of the service streams and the clinical department as a whole, ensuring that sufficient supplies are maintained, equipment is in good order and information or catering requirements for meetings and functions are met.
About you:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Proven experience in providing a comprehensive and confidential clerical, typing and receptionist service.
Proven experience in developing, maintaining and controlling appropriate records and filing systems, both electronic and print.
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and judgement when making decisions.
Experience in the co-ordination and supervision of other staff an advantage.
