We pride ourselves on creating the best content, accessed by consumers when and how they want – across Publishing, Broadcasting and Digital.Job DescriptionYour new opportunity at the AFR.The Australian Financial Review is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join the team and provide support to the AFR Editor and Managing Editor as well as the AFR EA/Office Manager.Day to day you will:Provide administration support and action requests from the AFR Editor andManaging Editor in a professional, efficient and timely mannerSupport the AFR EA/Office managerExercise discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information Assist on editorial projects as requiredOrganise meetings and staff functions (including venues, facilities, catering and resources required), and communicate to all relevant parties ahead of timeManage monthly expense reporting for the AFR editor and managing editorAssist EA with newsroom expenses and process invoicesProvide administrative support to the newsroom Arrange travel and accommodation Prepare presentationsMaintain rosters and diary managementMonitor AFR inboxes Maintain archives, filing and order stationery.QualificationsEnough about us, let's talk about you.The successful candidate will be switched on, proactive, discreet and provide timely support to the Editor and Managing Editor.In order to succeed in the role, you will ideally have:Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and manage priorities with attention to detail Ability to work autonomously and collaborativelyFlexibility and discretionA personable, positive and energetic approachExperience working in the media industry is an advantage.Additional InformationLife at the AFR.The Australian Financial Review is Australia's premier destination for business and finance news, recognised for its news-breaking, agenda-setting and authoritative journalism.
