Administrative Assistant (Administration & Office Support) Full time EM Solutions (EMS), based in Tennyson, is a growing high technology company with operations across the globe.
We are a world leader in the design and manufacture of "on-the-move" satellite communications terminals and pride ourselves on offering an exciting and innovative workplace with a talented workforce.
The company is now seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in various areas of the business and grow in the role.
Position suitable for a school leaver or career changer.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:Reception duties such as answering the phone, meeting & greeting visitorsAssisting with visitors and office eventsManaging uniform/PPE inventory as well as office consumables and grocery stockHelping to maintain a safe and clean workplace (cleaning contract, recycling, security access, pest control…)Managing parking facilities and building maintenanceMonitoring multiple inboxes (correspondence tracking, file management)Assisting with office spaces set up and planningProvide Senior Management Team with secretarial support when requiredAssisting with data entry, onboarding/offboardingHelping with social activities, intranet content, and moreAssisting with trade shows/exhibitions organisation when requiredHelping with marketing materials, company website updates etc.To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate the following:Ability to manage competing prioritiesGood time management and organisational skillsAptitude to work autonomously within a team-based environmentSolutions-oriented with an extremely high attention to detailStrong verbal and written communications skillsOpen Driver Licence (occasional trip to the shops and post office required)Be reliable, accountable and professionalCan do attitude & good work ethicExperience Required:One to three years of experience in a similar administrative role will be highly regardedIntermediate level ability in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TeamsExperience with Adobe Suite (In Design, Illustrator) will be an advantageExperience in a multi-tasking environmentUnderstanding of corporate governance requirementsAs part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to confirm their right to work in Australia (citizenship preferred) and successfully complete pre-employment checks (professional references, police records, proof of qualifications, and ITAR screening).
