Utilise your Administrative expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections Victoria at Kareenga Annex and Margoneet Correctional Centre.An ongoing, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service.About the Business Unit: Marngoneet Correctional Centre and Karreenga Annex is a medium security facility that houses a mix of sentenced and remand men and is located 6km north-west of Lara, 20km from the centre of Geelong and about 70km from Melbourne.
The role of the facility is to contain men in custody safely, securely and humanely, focusing on the individual needs of the men with the aim of providing a successful transition back into the community or on their continued journey through the prison system.
The facility has a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes and provides a range of engaged services.
Our highly skilled workforce provides supervision and case management and are dedicated to enhancing opportunities to strengthen prisoner pathways.
About the Role: This Support Officer will provide administration support to the Offender Management team within the prison, including data entry, maintaining records and general administration.
Some of your duties will include:
Generating, preparing and maintaining all documentation, referrals and schedules pertaining to the Case Management Review Committee (CMRC).Assisting with administrative paperwork relating to pre/post meeting actions as a result of the CMRC.Inputting any data outcomes as required on to the department's prison information management system (PIMS) or E*Justice.About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications.Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Departmental specific software, including PIMS and Lotus Notes.The ability to cooperate and work well with others in pursuit of team goals, sharing information and acknowledging others' efforts whilst being willing to step in and help others where required.Qualifications/Requirements: Not applicable, however, relevant experience in a similar role is desirable.
