Odeon ProducerHobart, TasmaniaPermanent part timeDarklab is on the hunt for an experienced and highly organised professional to lead the charge in delivering seamless events at the Odeon. From preparing the space and coordinating logistics with artists and promoters to managing staff, inventory, and compliance, you'll ensure every event runs like clockwork. With a focus on creating exceptional experiences for patrons and performers alike, this role requires someone with top-notch organisational skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for delivering high standards of customer service.The gig:Prepare the venue for events, including setting up front and back of house, stocking bars, and green rooms.Supervise event operations, including staff, contractors, suppliers, and maintenance personnel, ensuring compliance with OH&S and venue policies.Manage venue maintenance, repairs, and inventory, including stock ordering, tracking, and reporting.Coordinate logistics with external parties such as promoters, artists, and production companies to deliver successful events.Oversee staff training, inductions, performance, and scheduling, fostering a professional and efficient team environment.Ensure the venue operates within liquor licensing laws, maintains cleanliness, and adheres to safety standards.Handle administration tasks, including invoicing, mandatory reporting, and documentation of procedures.Support artist hospitality and production needs while acting as the main point of contact for touring personnel.The you:Experience in a similar or relevant role is essential.Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Knowledge of technical production elements (preferred but not essential).A creative, adaptable, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.High level of time management and prioritisation skills.Experienced in and able to deliver high standards of customer service.This role requires flexibility, including evening and weekend work, to accommodate the event schedule.
