We have an exciting opportunity for an?Ocean Freight Import Transport Specialist to?join our?Ocean Freight team?based in DHL's?Melbourne Airport?office.
Overall Role Purpose As an Ocean Freight Import Transport Specialist, you will be responsible for: * Coordination of Sea Freight import deliveries and dehire.
* Manage cartage providers on a day-to-day basis to adhere to agreed KPIs.
* Coordination of Carrier payments and delivery order release.
* Act as key contact for allocated customers on agreed delivery requirements and supporting on challenges.
* Monitoring and actioning Customs, AQIS, DAFF requirements.
* Reduction of client transport liabilities.
Skills / Qualifications * Experience as transport coordinator in cartage/landside operations.
* Experience in a Customer focused environment or similar.
* Previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in airfreight and/or ocean-freight / Import operational roles * Full time unlimited Australian work rights * Good knowledge of forwarding business, DHL products (OFR) and business systems (advantageous) * CargoWise experience (advantageous) * Ability to identify and meet customer needs in a pleasant and friendly manner.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
