About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Ocean Freight, the purpose of the Ocean Freight Business Development Manager is to participate in sales activities with a focus on increasing revenue and building, long-term, trusting relationships. Your responsibilities will include;
Generating and participating in sales activities including sales calls, client visits, prospecting leads etc. Supporting all business strategies Develop new business relationships Develop, implement and monitor sales goals Support campaigns Work with management to develop strategies and activities to support existing and new accounts Update and maintain CRM Providing customer quotes
About you
To be successful in this role you will have
Previous experience as a BDM within an international freight forwarding business essential High levels of autonomy with a hunting sales approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government requirements Solid operational experience in all Freight Forwarding aspects Knowledgeable in international import / export regulations specific to the position/department
