Reporting to the SSE. You will:
Meet Open Cut Examiners responsibilities as outlined in the Coal Mining Health and Safety Act 1999 and the Coal Mining Health and Safety Regulation 2017. Maintain compliance to and ensure a sound understanding of the legislative and site safety and health system requirements as they apply to the role. Effectively plan, monitor and coordinate personnel, equipment and resources to achieve EPSA set targets and schedules. Participate in development and review of risk assessments, PHMP's, SOP's and other Standards and Procedures relating to mining activities in or around the mine excavation, as directed. Follow and ensure compliance with all Risk Management Processes and documentation requirements, reducing unacceptable levels of risk. Participate in incident investigations and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and company policies and procedures. Facilitate the implementation of a process to drive positive safety behaviours across all levels of the organisation. To be successful you will have:
Current S11. Coal Mine Workers' Health Scheme Assessment Report/ Formerly Coal Board Medical. Extensive experience and knowledge of mining practices and legislative obligations. Valid QLD Driver's license. Incident investigation skills to identify corrective and preventative actions. Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour. Effective people management and development experience and skills. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, work planning and scheduling skills. RIIRIS301 Apply Risk Management Processes (formerly QMS1). RIIWHS301 Conduct Safety and Health Investigations (formerly QMS2). RIICOM301 Communicate Information (formerly QMS3).
