$64.97 per hour plus salary packaging Fixed-term opportunity (parental leave cover) Part time, 24hr per week About the Role An exciting leadership opportunity awaits a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator to join the Grampians Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (GMHWS).
In this key role, you'll support the Occupational Therapy Discipline Lead to advance evidence-based occupational therapy practices, drive workforce education, and provide clinical supervision for Occupational Therapists, graduates, and students.
Collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders—including allied health educators and the Lived and Living Experience workforce—you'll foster a positive, recovery-oriented culture and ensure excellence in clinical education and mental health service delivery.
You'll also play a pivotal role in implementing the recommendations of the Royal Commission, contributing to innovative and meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Occupational Therapists, including graduates and students, fostering their professional growth and development.
Support the Discipline Lead in planning, developing, and managing clinical education initiatives for Occupational Therapists within GMHWS.
Deliver engaging and informative training sessions on occupational therapy and mental health best practices to GMHWS staff.
Implement and continuously evaluate the GMHWS Allied Health graduate and student programs in collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical educators and Discipline Leads.
Monitor, review, and enhance clinical practices through quality improvement initiatives, recommending strategies for ongoing service excellence.
Partner with the Occupational Therapy Discipline Lead to advance evidence-based practice, innovation, and high-quality service delivery across GMHWS.
Skills & Experience Registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA Strong experience in evidence-informed occupational therapy within mental health settings.
Proven ability to provide clinical education, supervision, and leadership.
Extensive knowledge of biopsychosocial assessment, therapeutic interventions, and recovery-oriented practice.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and facilitate open discussions.
Experience in quality improvement activities and promoting innovation in service delivery.
