They serve over 50 communities across remote, rural and regional areas of Australia, including Townsville, Mount Isa, Longreach, Normanton, Doomadgee, Cloncurry and Mornington Island.

Position Description:
Come for the life experience, stay for the lifestyle this organsiation is now seeking Occupational Therapists to join their team on a Full-time basis. These positions can be based in either the Townsville office co-located with their wider multi-disciplinary team or Proserpine or Mackay where they have established outreach services in these locations. Applications from all experience levels, from fresh graduates to seasoned experts, are encouraged. As part of a supportive, diverse, and multidisciplinary team, you'll provide occupational therapy services in collaboration with a range of specialists. You'll get to treat based on clinical need without the barriers that are often present in private practice funding, offering long-term treatment and prevention strategies. Working with a diverse range of clients, you'll set your own schedule and have the chance to see the real difference your work makes as you enable rural communities to live and receive high-quality holistic care.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting participants inclusion in the communities and activities they choose
Assessing clients' emotional, cognitive, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardised assessments
Planning and directorship of programs through the use of vocational, recreational, social and educational activities on an individual and group basis
Assessing clients' functional potential in their home, leisure, work and school environments, and recommend environmental adaptations to maximise their performance
Providing advice to family members, carers, employers and teachers about adapting clients' home, leisure, work and school environments
Delivering goal-directed early childhoods supports
Assisting with community education activities to improve the health of individuals by raising awareness of healthy lifestyles, diseases and disabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be considered you must be registered, or eligible to obtain registration with AHPRA and have a passion for providing quality healthcare.
Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
A current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence; and
The right to live and work in Australia.

Salary Information:
$ 78,000 - $97,000 per annum (commensurate on experience)
Up to $15,900 salary sacrificing
Annual leave loading of 17.5%
5 weeks annual leave

AboutMackay:
Mackay is a beautiful town on the East Coast of Queensland. It is 970km North of Brisbane and 324km South of Townsville. The Mackay area has a tropical climate with warm summers and a wet season from around December through to March. The winter days are mostly sunny and cool.
