Occupational Therapist / Team Leader

Details of the offer

Due to internal staff movements, our Durack clinic is on the look-out for our new Team Leader to oversee our team of 5 Occupational Therapists. This role would ideally suit an individual who is perhaps already working as a Senior OT and is looking to grow into a team leader. Use your experience to help mentor and grow our team.
Early Start Australia - Durack
As a growing team of allied health professionals, we are the largest private paediatric provider in the territory, supporting children and their families with innovative service models, whilst working collaboratively with local organisations and communities.
With clinics all over Australia, our Northern Territory clinic has a long history spanning over 15 years! Over this time, our team has grown to become who we are today. We are hardworking individuals who love the work that we do. Our team is still growing, and we love discussing new ideas to make this happen.
We are a welcoming clinic with a touch of spark! Our client rooms are filled with colour together with dedicated quiet spaces for our families and of course our staff. We allow time for each other, time to debrief, time to learn and grow, and time to get to know each other.
Occupational Therapist Team Leader
As the Occupational Therapist Team Lead, you will be responsible for the success of your own caseload as well as eventually leading and mentoring a team of Occupational Therapists.
Your purpose in the role is to ensure exceptional outcomes for our young clients in a well-supported team environment. Drawing on your allied health experience, you will be a proactive, solution-focused professional dedicated to bringing the best for your clients, families, staff, and the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Day-to-day oversight of a leading and innovative team.
Apply and extend your extensive clinical knowledge through professional development with staff.
Ensure high-level professionalism and ethical conduct.
Partner with clients throughout their "Therapy Journey", our stepped-out pathway to exceptional outcomes.
Be a part of our partnership with IAHA, supporting the next generation of Indigenous allied health professionals and allied health assistants.
Utilise the next generation of client management systems – no more clunky programs or handwritten notes!
And much more to ensure a successful and rewarding team, clinic, and clients.

As a part of the team, you will:

Enjoy dedicated admin support for bookings, funding, and managing bookings.
Benefit from our newly launched additional leave policy - Work 40 weeks of the year! (naturally, conditions apply)
Receive a clinic wellbeing allowance.
Participate in a business strategy where we work towards no billable targets.
Access career progression and professional development opportunities tailored to your individual goals.
Utilise an annual professional development allowance + 3 days additional PD leave per year.
Benefit from paid parental leave with top-ups available.
Enjoy discounted health insurance.
Access our Mental Health and Wellbeing Program.
Receive discounts and savings at retailers across Australia.

About you

You are naturally driven! A person who thrives on seeing others succeed.
Approachable and empathetic towards those we assist.
You have a love for working with children and extensive experience working in early intervention in either private or public sectors.
You have grown over the years in your clinical experience and are perhaps currently working as an OT / Senior OT who is wanting to take the next step into a Team Leader role while still drawing on your clinical experience.
You must be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage with our Indigenous community.
You love what you do, and this shows in your ability to engage and build relationships.
Above all, you are ready to take on this opportunity and grow as a leader in your field.
Hold academic qualifications together with professional registration (AHPRA).
Lastly, you are enthusiastic and willing to jump in and hit the ground running!

If you are after a role where you can truly thrive and make a difference, then take the step today by taking your career to the next level. This is an opportunity for you to feel valued and appreciated for doing the work that you do every day. Our teams of allied health professionals offer an environment where we are all equal and are there to support each other.
We love coming to work every day, and how that looks is different for everyone. You will find us working in clinic, out in the community, or via telehealth. Our schedules are busy and varied but work in a way that offers true flexibility and time for team collaboration!
What we're about:
Early Start Australia is a growing, national, multidisciplinary organisation committed to delivering evidence-based early intervention and therapy services to children and their families. We employ people who are smart, experienced, empathetic, driven by the desire to help children, and like to have some fun. We offer financial security and the benefits that come with being backed by a national company while placing significant value on building fantastic team culture and environment at our individual clinic.
Apply today to be part of a growing team working to shape and influence the future of Early Start Australia.
